Ways to Get Involved

Find a Qualified Applicant

Our workforce development specialists will respond to your staffing needs and will present you with a pool of qualified applicants. This service is free to you and we will offer ongoing support to ensure success.

Informational Interviews

Share your knowledge and expertise with one of our job seekers interested in your field. These opportunities are especially valuable for our students exploring future career paths and adult career changers.

Work Trials

It’s a win-win. You get an employee to help your business and our job seekers gets work experience. We can pay our job seekers minimum wage for a short-period of time to try out the job before you commit to hire them or so they can see if they like the work. A staff person will be on-site at all times and we provide all liability insurance.

Apprenticeships/Internships

Hire an apprentice or intern to learn the skills of your trade, help with your current work, and support your business. We have many young adults entering the workforce for the first time and looking for training opportunities.

Mock Interviews

Volunteer to help our job seekers by providing real world interview experience. Your feedback, expertise, and objective evaluations are crucial to preparing job seekers for this all-important step of securing employment. Volunteer a couple hours of your time doing interviews with our job seekers at your business or ours.

The Business Mentor’s Project

Volunteer to mentor one of our Employment Specialists (usually a recent college graduate) to advise them on business needs and operations, developing a business presentation, marketing strategies, customer service techniques and building business networks. We have a curriculum to guide you both through the 6 suggested meetings.

Customized Employment

Our workforce development specialists will meet with you to talk about your business operations to see if a new position could be created ranging from a couple hours a week to a full-time job to help support the work you do or start a new project. We have job seekers with diverse skills to support marking, social media, web design, or administrative support, for example.
