One of the best things about St. Luke’s House ... is that their residential program has different levels of support, it is moving [my son] Robert gradually toward more independence

Barrie K. Friedman

Barrie K. Friedman is a licensed clinical social worker and has considerable experience in community mental health programs. She has been with St. Luke’s House, Inc. since 1992 and was the first therapist/case manager at SLH when we opened the Southport Residential Program that year. Southport was the first residential program to offer integrated clinic and rehabilitation services and, as Barrie assumed more oversight and responsibility for the residential program, coincidentally, at the same time that the outpatient mental health clinic was expanding, this same package of services began to be offered throughout the residential and community programs. Mrs. Friedman now oversees all of the Residential Rehabilitation Programs, as well as, the Supported Living Programs and Residential Crisis Services (Fenton-McAuliffe House.) The managers and supervisors who work in these programs make up the Rehabilitation Management Team (RMT.) The RMT meets monthly to discuss clinical and administrative issues. Members of the RMT include dedicated individuals who bring great experience and energy to our programs.
